Happy Mothers Day!

It's Mothers day in Canada - so Happy Mothers Day to all the family Mums out there!
Chris and Tim did their annual 10K race down Yonge Street (Pip wimped out this year claiming he has to revise for his banking exams coming up.....) Chip and Tim crossed the line in a dead heat at a time of 41 mins. Out of 25,000 runners they were in the top 500. Chris was 6th in his age category!
Pip and Anneli are cooking dinner tonight - being a mother gets better with age :)

Flying Visit

After our trip to Ireland, Dara added a couple of days and popped across to see the Beard Clan in Hook - here's Tony, Betty, Jenny and Dara in a pic taken by Christel. All are well; Dara's Mum is really fit and 86 years young. Tim and I were glad to get Dara back...the cuisine has definitely improved! Love Chip

Turning 13 today!!

Tyler James - Officially a teenager as we saw him off to school this morning - how time flies! Loving that he gets to share his birthday with Nanny and Golf and playing for his school in a soccer game this afternoon - to be followed by presents and the requested cheescake to celebrate:-) Happy Birthday Big guy !

Hockey Champs!

Breaking news from the sports world: Tim's team won the League Championship tonight in a thrilling game worthy of the final. With 90 seconds to go and trailing 3-4 they pulled their goalie and scored the equaliser a few second before the full time buzzer. They then scored the 5-4 winner in sudden death overtime and Tim got to do the victory lap with the cup. Very cool way to end his League days!

It seems only a heartbeat ago that Tim couldn't stand up on ice skates, and now he's the backbone of his hockey team's defence and provides a running insight into what the Toronto Maple Leafs should be doing as they try to get into the Playoffs this spring...

Back to reality!!!

So reality strikes back and here I sit in minus degree temps looking at pictures of beaches, family, and sunsets .................. quite depressing really!! This is the 'southernmost Robinson/Scholten USA Clan' on our visit down to Key West. Wonderful trip making new memeories:-) just wish these things didn't have to end! Now back on to unpacking and settling in the new house along with the 'finishing touches'!!! that need doing (should be finished entirely just before Tyler graduates is my bet!) Love to one and all great to see all of the pics on here and catch up with the wanderings of us all - Wishing you all a very happy and healthy 2012 - hope we get to see you all soon - Love H J TJ and M x

Oceans Three

To complete the Robinson Family's touring of the three major oceans of the world; here is the Pacific report. It's good to hear that everyone had a good time and we did our best to keep up the family average too. A great resort on the Pacific beachside in El Salvador (see sunset above); all of us summited the country's highest active volcano, Santa Ana (see family pic on the way up and the panoramic video on the summit); we explored one of the great Maya cities - Copan in Honduras (Pip and Anneli on the Royal Staircase) and Maya sites in El Salvador; toured Guatemala's cowboy country; pottered along the Route of Flowers, full of colonial towns, markets, coffee plantations and of course flowers; relaxed in hot springs; and celebrated the start of the year that ends the Maya calendar amidst fireworks and champagne too!

Here's to a happy, healthy and fun new year for all the family.
