Champs!!

Yet another weekend of soccer this time in Cincinatti for the "Elite Spring Thaw" pretty sweet they won the championship game against Tyler's old Carmel team - it's tough playing against your old team mates!! but they pulled if off!! (Tyler front and middle for those that are struggling to find him!) They all look pretty pleased with themselves!!
Hope you are all healthy and happy and enjoying life, can't believe where this year is going! Tyler's getting ready for middle school (HELP!) and Maddie enjoying her last couple of months as a Kindergarten kid. Jamie and I are just along for the ride!

A week in South Carolina for the radio show and Tim's March Break. Wonderful Southern Hospitality, charming Charleston in a horse-drawn buggy (2nd pic), long walks (and runs) along 100kms of Myrtle Beach (3rd pic), Tim's first shark on a rod that wasn't designed to cope with Jaws (4th pic), alligators in the marshes, food portions big enough for King Kong (shrimp and grits a favourite), and plantation houses and gardens of refined elegance...

Sierra Nevada Trip

Hi Guys, Quick Portuguese update...Family trip to Sierra Nevada in Spain ! A swift 3 day trip for Clares and Max´s first ski experience. As you can see the weather was eventually great, new snow and bright blue skies!! Clare (speed demon) Robinson did very well considering, she wished she had taken it up about 20 years earlier ! and Max (coming through!) Robinson was very keen, enjoyed his Lessons and was flying down (as usual for his age group) with not a worry in the world at 90MPH !!! I went again to the dark side and boarded for this trip to try and improve my (lack of) skills. Videoing on the board though is tough, especially trying to play catch up with Max!
Now back to reality, works tough for all at present, but the summers enroute so back to BBQs and evening swims...

O Canada!

Canada has gone delightfully crazy at the end of our Winter Olympics! There's a national euphoria at the fairytale ending to the games: beating the arch-rivals US hockey team in sudden-death overtime for the gold medal to take our gold tally to the most for any country in any Winter Olympics, ever...even including the bad old days of the USSR. The whole country erupted onto the streets and it was pandemonium! I so hope the Olympic experience is as wonderful for Britain in two years time.

Look who cruised into town!

We have had a lovely time entertaining (and being entertained by!) our Lovely Auntie Pauline and Silly Uncle Peter, at the end of their fabulous cruise...from a tropical island ( Sentosa, handmade by SIngaporeans with sand and a bit of sticky-backed plastic) to a zoo in a jungle, we have been exploring the side of Singapore that isn't a shopping mall...it's been fantastic to see them, the kids have had a great time...and so have Isabel and Felix!
Lots of love to you all...can't wait for our next visitor and anyone else who would like to come and stay on our little jungly island!

January in Jasper 2010.....Loads of snow, bright blue skies and my first real snowboarding experience! Stunning town (real outpost feeling) great trails and POUTINE ?

Had a great week, skied, ate and drank too much as normal, visited Jasper Brewing Company too many times, saw the band "Social Code"live, sushied etc etc. BUSY WEEK.........

Boarding was a fantastic experience, and as Chip had worried about that I could easily be converted to the "dark side", got down most trails one way or tuther (mainly on rear end!) will have to practice again in Sierra Nevada next month (Clares and Max´s first try!)

Looking forward to being able to speak to the folks instead of BL__DY email, it´s just not the same..Missed you guy´s loads.......Heidi, was good to keep up to date last week, almost on the same time zone....Oh well one of these days eh? Kiddo.......

HAPPY NEW YEAR, ONE AND ALL

What a lot of Blog catching up to do - must be something to do with the time of year! Anyway, it seems everyone had a good Christmas even if one was not as white as it should have been. Courchevel was very white and the skiing was good, though Maizie and I stuck to our sledge! Finn got his Level 1 badge and Jordan his Level 6, and Woody got Psycho Level for doing the deadliest black run in Courchevel. Gabi, thankfully, was happy just to enjoy her skiing. Lots of love to you all - hope 2010 is great for everyone. xxx
