Hey all, Our New purchase ! After much deliberation in these "tricky" times, we have been brave a bought a rental apartment ! A lovely two bedroom ground floor unit in "monte do Balaia"
Pools, tennis and within easy walking distance from the beac
h, we hope that getting it at a good price now pay´s off in the future. We will holiday rent it over the next two years to see what income it can make and then maybe if this doesn´t work out we have the option to long lease it. as the Portuguese say "Vamos Ver" Let´s See !!!!

Enroute to Calgary, for a quick (3 day) skiing trip with a buddy in Banff
. Twas chilly but not as cold as two weeks previous, they were at minus 40 !!!! Me thinks at this temperature I would do continuous loops in the gondolas !!!! More Pix to follow, awaiting from buddies camera !!
Boy´s and their Toy´s !!!
After much deliberation (3 sec´s) we ahve bought the boy a Mini Quad (50cc) for his vast improvement over the last
months of his english and portuguese reading.
He was very cool with whole idea, until he found out that it crept forward at every given chance (automatic box), but after a few hours he´s flying along with me struggling to keep up !!!!! (please note we did turn him around before firing her up (pool bound))

We broadcast the shows from the Montreal studio last weekend which gave us the chance to grab a couple of days skiing (sorry, Tim, I mean boarding) on Mont Tremblant, a couple of hours north of Montreal. Perfect weather, good snow and uncrowded pistes...and good cross-training for the Boston Marathon which is now less than 4 weeks away. We also had a chance to see more of Montreal with Tim and to travel twixt Toronto and Montreal by train, which was fun. Love to all, C,D & T (P.S. Cordoba, Granada, Seville - difficult to choose a favourite - they were all amazing. So was the weather - not a single cloud in the sky for five days.
When you can't play football, soccer, or go biking............and after you have dug yourselves out we've decided the next best thing is to build igloos! and then have a snack in it! the kids love the white stuff I on the other hand am thankful for a neighbour with a snow blower!! It's been a cold winter since our return from the cruise and San Diego, Jamie is coping with the death of his dad, a new job and a long commute and we are learning to cope without him!! Hope all is well in your corners of the world hugs all around Heidi and gang x
