Home Sweet Home

Huh! What have Yangshuo and Shanghai got to offer compared to good old Wicksteed Park? Have just returned the boys to their snow-sun-burned parents (four days in Courchevel), but we managed to have fun without them!

For some reason, the pictures below require you to turn your computer on its side for a better view. They were the right way up when I stuck them onto the blog page! Sorry. Don't damage your monitors.

Some photos from our trip down to Yangshuo in Southern China with our friends Tash and Chris and Isabella over the Chinese New Year holiday...had a wonderful time, despite it being our 3rd time down amongst the lumpy hills...two 2-year-olds on a 29 hour train trip was memorable in itself, but we also enjoyed cycling through the rice fields and seeing the New Year in with more fireworks than you can throw fried rice at....we finished up in Shanghai for some night views. A happy year of the Golden Pig to you all! xxxx

Our two new Canadian graduates: Pip's High School Graduation pic and Timothy's First Year snowboarding class pic...

Pip has advance university acceptances from four unis now in Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia, so he's going to have to make some decisions by May about where and when...Right now, he's counting the days until his Grad Trip to the Dominican Republic...Whilst we are likewise counting the days to our UK trip with Tim.

Speaking of whom: he is now tearing up the black runs on the Ontario ski hills after year one snowboarding. This week we had another 15 cm of snow, followed by 15 cm of freezing rain...so no blossoms on our trees yet! I'm just back from New Brunswick, and even the dog is pretending he doesn't know me any more...
