Late News from China
Happy Old Year Everyone...making a stylishly late entrance, China have made it into 2007....Father Christmas managed to find Isabel on the train, as we sped through the night on Christmas Eve and woke to frosty rice terraces and cold water buffalo on Christmas morning...we sang 'Do they know it's Christmas time at all' as Kev wandered through the train in his festive hat...but they didn't....a lovely Hong Kong Christmas followed, with Izzy getting mixed up with Rice Krispies and wishing all and sundry a 'rice christmas'...was she the only child in the family to have a Pot Noodle for Christmas lunch? (She did have some brussel sprouts in the evening!) anyway, looks like everyone had a happy time...hope the old 'uns upstairs had a smile on their faces watching us all! Lots of love xxxx

Happy New Year from Spratton
We had a lovely Courchevel Christmas - enough snow for skiing because we were quite high though no actual snowfall while we were there. The fog on the way out only delayed us for two hours so we were very lucky compared to most folk flying out on the same day. Finn not very impressed with the actual snow though he loved riding up and down in the gondola and Jordan found he could still ski after all having spent weeks beforehand convincing himself that he couldn't. Nana still not very brave but then green and blue have always been her favourite colours (when pink is not an option). Poor Gabi exhausted after having to do clever stuff in the mornings with Steve and instructor stuff in the afternoons with me and Jordan. Hope every one had a great Christmas, love to you all, Bev
Happy New Year from Canada
Happy 2007!
We have just returned from a week up north at the cottage...much restorative peace, but not much snow and even the lake was largely unfrozen. The pic is Gibson posing with one of our inuksuks beside the driveway to the cottage after a sprinkling of snow. Hope everyone's travels and rests were equally restoring.
